One story. A growing universe.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Legend of Lumani is being built in public, one chapter and one reader at a time.
A clear story with a deep heart.
This is an epic fantasy rooted in African mythology and built for global readers. Children can follow the adventure. Teenagers can see themselves in the characters. Adults can feel the questions beneath the surface.
The language is simple by design. The emotions are not. The story explores memory, freedom, hope, identity, courage and the power to challenge systems that tell people who they are allowed to become.
Simple does not mean shallow.

Meet the Author

Victor J. Kongolo is the author of The Legend of Lumani. After living as a refugee for seventeen years, he created a story that carries pieces of his own journey—the pain of displacement, the search for belonging, and the resilience needed to keep moving forward.
Throughout his life, Victor learned that family is not always something we are born into; sometimes, it is something we find.
These experiences are reimagined through the myths, cultures, and richness of Africa—the same heritage that helped him rediscover pride in where he came from.
Victor now lives in Canada. Through The Legend of Lumani, he turns survival into story and invites readers into a world worth remembering.
The story grows because readers carry it.
Read. Share. Ask questions. Build theories. Welcome to the beginning.
